Starbucks Is So Vain, Probably Thinks That Song (and Lawsuit) Is About Them

Apparently early retirement isn’t an option for as many folks as we realized. Carly Simon has fired some shots in the general direction of her Starbucks management by way of a lawsuit, and claims at this point some business deals have forced her to keep making albums she can’t afford the production on. She says Starbucks drastically scaled down their role in music a mere five days before her last album, This Kind Of Love, was released. Also, she likened her hard luck and finding producers she couldn’t afford to the NYT  “All of a sudden you’re the ugliest girl at the prom, and you’re not picked.” This is kind of cute. Although it might hurt chances for the Dunkin Donuts remix album. (Via: The Daily Swarm via NYT)
