Them Crooked Vultures, that arena rock hydra/supergroup of sometimes frightening proportions, is now streaming their debut album in its entirety. The trio of Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters,) Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin, will be releasing the album digitally and physically next Tuesday. Until then, enjoy the jams below.
At the very least, hearing “New Fang” made us realize how little straight up guitar-driven power rock exists for our consumption these days. This thing feels like a build up to a build up to a build up where like 15 guitars are simultaneously trying to one-up each other (we mean that in an awesome way). The lyrics didn’t really stick with us all that much on the first couple go-rounds and they probably never will, but “New Fang” has got us ready for plenty more of the same backdrop come November 17th. Check it out for yourself.
After weeks of Them Crooked Vultures brunch choices making music blog waves, we have actual news! The supergroup’s self-titled debut will come out November 17 in the U.S. (November 16th across the pond). Tracklist below. And while “Spinning in Daffodils” doesn’t exactly sound like a banger, the rest seem like they should do the trick.

Them Crooked Vultures, the supergroup of Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), wasted no time in getting music out there— after playing its first show on Sunday night at the Metro in Chicago after Lollapalooza, the band just released 14 seconds of a new track, titled “Nobody Loves Us and Neither Do I” via Twitter. It’s an intense 14 seconds of hard rock-isms that shows very little variation in its raw energy, indicating that the group will spank you eardrums upon releasing a full-length (or, for that matter, a full track).
The band will release its debut record, tentatively titled Never Deserve the Future, on October 23.
