Despite Matisyahu’s recent effort to become the leader of the NY Hanukkah celebration, Yo La Tengo has that position on lock down.
With another installment of their annual 8 Nights of Hanukkah starting this Sunday (December 21) at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ, Yo La Tengo has been going strong with the festive holiday concerts since at least 2001 (that we know of). And even though not one of the secret guests have been announced (besides Todd Barry), all of the shows are completely sold out. So for those of you who don’t already have tickets, here’s a clip from last year’s festivities of Yo La Tengo with special guest Alex Chilton playing the classic Kinks song, “Till The End Of The Day”.

indeed you are correct, thank you for the correction. I assumed incorrectly because Big Star did put it out on Third/Sister Lovers, so with the Alex Chilton connection, I figured….
