They are on the longest tour ever right now, so it seems only appropriate to play the new video for The Pains of Being Pure at Heart’s single “Young Adult Friction”, off of the band’s Slumberland released self-titled album.

We’ll go ahead and say it, the video for “Young Adult Friction” is more entertaining than any young adult fiction you might be reading these days, and really how could you not like any video that references Beverly Cleary books in it’s shots? The video not only makes us yearn for our middle school days, but it encompasses the fun vibe heard throughout the tracks of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart’s new album.

We wish The Pains of Being Pure at Heart luck along the road of their extremely long tour, but if the band is having as much fun on tour as they do reading books together in this video, than we don’t think they will have much to worry about along the way.
